At The Dorset Country Kitchen, great food is about more than just eating. It’s about comfort, craftsmanship, and bringing people together.
Founded by Matt, with over 40 years of experience in professional kitchens, The Dorset Country Kitchen blends classic skills with a modern, thoughtful approach to food. Over the decades, Matt has worked as a Head Chef and Executive Chef across a wide range of businesses, building a reputation for quality, consistency, and flavour-led cooking.
Our work spans private dining experiences, special functions and events, catering for TV and film sets, and a much-loved range of handmade baked goods, including pies, sausage rolls, and seasonal favourites. Whether we’re cooking for an intimate dinner party or a busy production crew, the same care and attention goes into every dish.
Matt’s background covers a broad mix of cuisines, but at the heart of everything we do is a passion for fine dining without the fuss – beautifully prepared food that feels generous, honest, and accessible. We believe exceptional food shouldn’t be intimidating or overpriced, it should simply be done well.
